Bamboo is a grass that grows about 1 to 3 feet a day when it is at its peak expansion cycle. It can reach up to 125 feet or more and become 2 feet in diameter. Bamboo reaches maturity when five to six years old ; at that point it stops growing and is ready to be cropped. Bamboo does not need to be replanted as it regenerates itself.
Most bamboo developed for flooring and other such products comes from forests in Asian countries such as China, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. The government owns most of the bamboo forests in China, which is also the most important worldwide producer for bamboo products.
Giant pandas, which feed on bamboo, are in no way deprived of their food substance because of the harvesting of bamboo for flooring. This is thanks to the fact that giant pandas do not eat the same species of bamboo that’s made use of for flooring and other products containing bamboo. Pandas basically live in diverse provinces and at much higher elevations than the areas which contain bamboo forests for flooring and other products. Pandas don’t live in the eastern provinces of China where the best bamboo is located.
There are two key colors of bamboo : natural and carbonized ( or fumed ). The natural bamboo is actually lightened to make its light color, whereas bamboo that has been carbonized experiences a heating process which darkens the wood to a dark caramel color. However, both natural and carbonized bamboo may have many diverse shades.
The more expensive bamboo flooring products supply a new type of bamboo for floors that has been stained. There is even a custom hand-scraped bamboo which is employed in floors. Penang Island Malaysia
Filed Under General Interest | Comments Off
Situated on the north-western coast of the Malay Peninsula at the entrance to the Straits of Malacca, Penang Island covers an area of 292 sq km (112 sq mi). The island is separated from mainland Malaysia by a channel of sea varying between 3 km (1.9 mi) and 13 km (8 mi) wide, and they are linked by the 13.5 km (8.4 mi) Penang Bridge, one of the longest bridges in the world.
The island has the oldest British settlement in Malaysia, which was founded by Captain Francis Light in 1786 while he was searching for a docking place for ships of the East India Company. Captain Light made a treaty with the Sultan of Kedah who gave him permission to colonize the sparsely populated island.
Penang today is a fine mixture of old and new: bustling, industrial port meets historic Old Town. In the capital, Georgetown, modem skyscrapers tower above one of the largest collections of pre-war buildings in south-east Asia. Colourful produce markets compete for space with high-tech electronics manufacturers. There is also a fascinating mixture of cultures here. Hundred year old churches, Chinese temples, Indian temples and mosques stand side by side.
In the middle of the bustling modern city is Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera), at almost 900 m (2,953 ft) high, with its cool, clean air. From its summit there are amazing views of the town, the island, and even the mountains on the mainland when the sky is clear. There is a Swiss-built funicular railway to take visitors to the summit, which creaks its way up through the beautiful tropical forest. At the top of the hill there is a cafe, a Hindu temple and a mosque.
If you want to escape the busy city, there are other attractions on the island, including plenty of lovely beaches, some quaint fishing villages, beautiful stretches of forest and cascading waterfalls. Among the less crowded beaches are Muka Head, Pantai Keracut, Monkey Beach, Pantai Acheh and Gertak Sanggul.
Penang Island is enriched by its numerous ethnic communities, among them Malays, Chinese and Indians, which live side by side in harmony to create a multi-faceted culture. Each community maintains its cultural identity through religious festivals and cultural shows, including angsawan, Boria, flag processions, the Chingay Parade, the Nine Emperor Gods Festival, the Hungry Ghosts Festival and Thaipusam. This succession of colourful festivals unravels throughout the year and when one big celebration is finished, another begins.

Wrinkles on the face are induced by the lessening in collagen of the skin. While there are some other minor factors, that is what the main cause is. When the skin is immersed in water for an extended period of time, the skin also takes on lines. However, this condition is completely temporary, and should not be compared with wrinkles caused by aging. If these seams are causing any sort of bother in your life, maybe it is time you used something like purelift ultra for the proper treatment.
The chemical substance called collagen is actually quite stable. It can stick around in humans for up to 30 years, so when these collagen cells perish, their loitering dead shells end up causing the lines. It is for the same reason that skin tends to break and split much simpler when people get older. It is important to note that facial seams are in necessary mark of aging, but they can be decelerated using creams such as reprint stem cell cream and similar products.
One postulated solution for creases is to use chemicals like resveratrol. Resveratrol has been established to slow the aging process in mice, and while it hasn’t been evidenced to work in humans, there are choices such as pure rezver which can be found on their web site.

Which low interest car loan is best for you?
Filed Under General Interest | Comments Off
With the price of oil soaring… auto maintenance and servicing fees as high as they’ve ever been… and car prices not exactly cheap… it’s imperative that, when it comes to getting vehicle credit, you get the best deal possible. Fortunately, there is a lot of car loans information available and in this article, I’ll give you some tips for borrowing from vehicle financing companies.
Before looking for a car, it’s wise to thoroughly appraise your finances, and determine what you will have enough money to pay for - both in terms of the price of the auto, and the ongoing loan and interest expenses. This means taking a good, cold, hard look at what your living expenses are, and determining where an auto purchase fits into those. Also take into account those nasty surprise bills that crop up every now and again!
Additionally, don’t forget all the costs that are likely to come with owning and maintaining a car. On top of the upfront price and interest costs, also consider insurance, fuel and likely repairs. These are likely to vary depending on the car. For example, a new car will cost much more than a second-hand car. And a sports car is likely to require more insurance than a family car. A large car will have greater fuel costs than a small car. And a second-hand car is likely to cost more in terms of repairs!
When, and only when, you’re clear on how much money you can devote to a car purchase, should you begin searching for a car. Obviously, all the normal warnings apply - car dealers can be quite aggressive and persuasive - so it’s important to keep your wits about you! Also, be sure to stick to your budget. No matter how attractive a given car may be… if you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it. Similarly, don’t automatically accept either a dealer’s or any other company’s promise of supposedly good car financing terms. The simple truth is that you don’t have to accept anyone’s word for anything. You can easily use an Internet-based car loans calculator to discover the best loan for you. There is also plenty of car loans information around to help you distinguish between the various kinds of loans available - whether you’re interested in low interest car loans, no credit car loans, variable interest car loans, fixed interest car loans, and other kinds of credit arrangements.
Once you’ve found a couple of lenders that offer car financing on terms that appeal to you, make appointments to see them. Sit down and discuss your needs with them. And don’t forget to mention that they are one of a few lenders you are speaking with. As much as you are applying for credit to buy a motor car… they are also attempting to convince you to borrow from them. Indeed, one or more of these lenders may be able to negotiate an even more attractive financing arrangement with you.
When you have chosen both the vehicle and loan you want, the last step is simply to enjoy your new vehicle. Drive carefully and look after your car, and that way you’ll be likely to get your money’s worth!
